Event and certificate information on the Original 13 Colonies special event can be found at http://home.comcast.net/~dzabawa/Thirteen Colonies.htm. Contacts with me as K2T will count for North Carolina towards the event certificate. If you need a confirmation for one or more counties, pse QSL direct to my home call, ND9M.
The 20, 30, and 40M net freqs will be used, and I'll also be on (or close to) 7033, 7213, 14033, and 14213. I don't have a specific route or sequenced list of counties planned yet, but I will begin with running the western counties and work eastward. As there are 100 counties in the state, the time period for K2T will certainly run out, but if I have enough time to stay away from home, I'll keep running until all 100 counties have been run and put out what I can in SC as well on the way home.
Contacts with either my home call or K2T are good for Bingo (one star).
I'll have the cell phone (850.960.8566) at all times where signal is available and e-mail when I stop for the night.
On July 4th I will be heading to the convention along this route. I plan to run on 20, 40 and 80 meters SSB No CW on the move most of the time and I plan to run PSK31 mostly on the county lines. I will start on 10.139, then go to 7.072 and finally 14.072. Look for me slightly down in freq if those are too busy. I may not be spotted on all the bands but this is what I will do regardless unless I cannot resonate at those frequencies. I had no problem on my last trip to southern Florida, so I think I should be ok. I have a new toy to play with and you can either call me, send me a text message or a regular email on my Blackberry Curv. I will try to put out the first line on PSK31 around 1400 zulu each day. The first day I will not put out PSK31 until the line of Lowndes/Cook, Ga unless anyone notifies me in advance that they need any of the counties on PSK31 in Florida.
