NA8W - DARL - June 27 to July 20 ? - SSB and Data
My wife (KA8JQP) and I are headed to our first MARAC convention. We are headed out early for a car show in Champaign Illinois and then on to the convention taking the long way. My mobile is set up for SSB and Digital. I will be running alone on SSB but my wife has consented to being a team on digital. That is set in concrete according to her. I will run 20 and 40 SSB and maybe 17 and probably only 14074 + - on digital. I will try to run PSK-63, RTTY-45 and Domino 22 until I run out of a county. There might be other modes used also. I will run county lines when available. If the net is busy we may run mostly digital and leave the masses to phone. I will have texting available when in range of a cell so feel free to request anything special. I will also post myself when in range. I won't have a key along but the digital does transmit cw and my mind decodes albeit slowly so we might be on cw for special counties. As always expect changes and the pilot controls the vehicle. N5MLP - 7/04/13 to 7/13/13 - SSB Only
Highlights of trip to MARAC national convention:

1. Good for 3*, Bingo, Master Gold, Master Platinum, Mobile Diamond.

2. Seven day trip from near Houston, TX to Deadwood, SD.

3. Will plan to run 20m and 40m SSB for sure – maybe 17m ssb around 18.136 if band is open and time permits. Will be running on the fly most of the time, but will have some stops on county lines.

4. I will have my cell phone with data and hot spot capability to post myself if needed in counties where I have Verizon coverage, but may not have coverage in some of these areas. Will have to keep moving so may post myself on a non-net frequency rather than wait if net is busy.

5. Notice: no guarantees that all counties will be run. This is my intended route, but deviations may occur for various reasons.

My wife and I are going to the Nation Convention in Deadwood, SD. We are flying to Salt lake City and renting a car, and driving through eastern ID and MT to the convention. After the convention, we are returning through most of the counties in WY to Salt Lake City. My object is to finish up transmitting from all the counties in ID, MT and WY. I plan to have antennas for 20m and 40m cut for the SSB frequencies. On request, I will run CW near the SSB net frequencies. My route is pretty firm, and I will not be likely to go to another counties. My cell phone number is 706-302-0725, and coverage seems OK along much of my route.
