W6A - 11 September 2010 to 19 September 2010 - SSB and CW

Amateur Radio Clubs using 1 X 1 call signs (W6A thru W6T) will operate from 17 cities, 3 rovers and 5 mobile stations along the old Route 66 highway during the special event period, 11th September (0000z) through 19th September (2400z) aiming to contact as many amateur radio operators as possible who would like to take part in this annual event.

Any amateurs operating while actually driving along Route 66 during the special event period are encouraged to take part in Route 66 OTA, by using the designation mobile 66 for Phone or /m66 for CW after their call signs. All other amateur radio operators are welcome to contact these mobile operators. Nice certificate is available.

My trip will take me through NJ (Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem Counties) DE, MD, VA, NC, SC. On Sept. 3, 2010 I will continue, starting at approx. 12:00 utc.
